Research Assistant, Economist, India
Youna Lanos is research assistant at the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD), affiliated to DIAL, and based at the French Institute of Pondicherry (IFP) since January 2016, under the supervision of CJ Nordman. She was first working in the framework of the Nopoor European programme until October 2017 and, since then, she is enrolled in the French international work program (VIA). Graduated from a Master 2 “International Economics and Development” at University Paris-Dauphine and from Sciences Po Rennes, she previously did an internship at the OECD’s Department of Education and Skills working on a project highlighting the main challenges facing international censuses on education. She now conducts research on intragenerational forms of employment mobility using social networks approach in relation to caste, class and gender within the LAKSMI project. She has acquired various skills in development economics, sociology and the use of innovative statistical and data collection softwares.
